Isle of Dogs Review
January 1st, 2010 by Paul JohnsonIsle of Dogs offers high quality dog grooming products using a proprietary formulation. I have a friend who is really into dog shows and swears by their products. They believe it even helped them get better rank in a few of their shows. Isle of Dogs shampoos and other grooming products are a must for anyone into dog shows. They are also great products for anyone who wants high quality products that are healthy for their dog’s skin and give the fur a great shiny look.
The basis behind Isle of Dogs shampoo was first developed in England decades ago by a chemist that featured two substances. One is a cold-pressed oil called Evening Primrose Oil, and the other is Royal Jelly. The solutions were based on a unique emulsion that suspended unusually high levels of natural oils in water-based products. This formula resulted in a smoother, shinier, and healthier coat for all dogs. These two ingredients are the primary innovation behind the Isle of Dogs system.
You can only purchase Isle of Dogs grooming products exclusively through Iodogs.com. You can fill out a form at the Isle of Dogs site based on your dog and a representative will get back with you on the right products for your dog. You can also find a Isle of Dogs official representative at many dog shows by checking the dog show schedule on their site.

I’m a professional groomer and have some dog show clients. I’ve been recommending Isle of dogs shampoo for many years and heard no complaints. It’s a good shampoo for any dog, even if you don’t use it for the purpose of a show dog.
Hi,
we have a 3 year old golden retriever and have been using Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo on her.
The hair on her ears is always a little greasy, what shampoo should we use?

Hello Elaine,
Although Baby Shampoo sounds gentle it actually is harsh for your pet as the PH for humans is greater than that of dogs and cats. The best shampoo for would be Isle Of Dogs Copper Coat to enhance your pets natural color and add in some Oily Coat around the ears since there is a build up there. Finish with Isle Of dogs Light Management Conditioner to replenish the coats natural oils. Go to the Isle Of Dogs website and ask for the “Golden Retriever” bathing article it is full of good suggestions.
