Cost of iLasik vs. Contact use

June 15th, 2009 by Paul Johnson

I wear glasses and can tell you there are many disadvantages to doing so. The biggest con is that if you want to go somewhere such as a theme park, or out in the water and do activities you can’t wear your glasses. It’s pretty hard to get around without your glasses when your blind as a bat! There is also the cosmetic side to it, most don’t look as good with glasses as they do without them. I haven’t bothered with contacts because they are expensive and are pain to use.

Many have probably heard of LASIK eye surgery where it usually removes your need for even needing glasses or contacts anymore. There is a procedure called iLASIK, which combines Wavefront mapping technology with two lasers for a safe and completely tailor-made procedure. Studies show that a 25 year old will spend up to 20,000 on extended wear contacts over his lifetime. It would be cheaper just to get a iLasik surgery and never have to worry about contacts again. You can calculate your lifetime costs of contacts. With most health savings accounts, you will even be eligible for tax deductions. I encourage you to check out the website, eye surgery is a serious decision, but it can pay off financially and cosmetically over your life. Forget about annoying glasses and contacts forever!
